Day XII - "It's not bat country?"

Day 12

Tough Day, Rewarding Night.

For me, camping tonight was the highlight experience. As potentially my final night in a tent as I exit the grasps of wilderness and back into civilisation, my mind was focused on where I was and what I'd accomplished. Looking up at the zero light pollution sky and hearing the distant howls of a pack of coyotes was pretty humbling. Covered in sweat, dirty, and with my knife close by, I slept off the tough day.

The heat was the hottest it's ever been, 115 degrees Fahrenheit with shade difficult to find. Suffered from spouts of light headed-ness throughout the day, but kept re-hydrating and pushing on.
